Jörg Volk, a radical Anabaptist of Franconia, was in Augsburg at the time of the Martyrs' Synod in August 1527. He was executed in Bamberg in January 1528. He was accused in 1530 by Marx Mayr, at the latter's trial, of having advocated community of wives at a meeting in Thuringia in 1527.
