Châtenois (Kestenholz) is a village in the Leber Valley in Alsace, 12 miles (20 km) east of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (Markirch) and three miles (five km) west of Selestat (Schlettstadt), also formerly the name of a Mennonite church, which was later known as Markirch, and then as Weilertal (Val-de-Ville).
