Leonhard Schneider, an Anabaptist martyr of Kaufbeuren, Germany, was seized with Hans Staudach, Anthoni Keim, and Blasius Beck en route to Moravia on 3 August 1546. They were taken to Vienna and beheaded on 22 November 1546. Their death is commemorated in two hymns written by Wolf Sailer and Hans Gurtzham.
