Joest Jacops (Jacopssoen) was the author of some hymns of the Dutch Mennonite hymnary <em>[[Tweede Liedeboeck, Het|Het Tweede Liedeboeck]]</em> of 1583, viz., "Jubileert met vreuchden te samen" (Jubilate with joy all together), "Ick ben seer bedroeft int herte mijn" (I am much afflicted in my heart), and perhaps also of "In druck lijden en groot torment" (In distress, suffering, and great oppression). No further information about him was available.
