Blumenheim (also called Verbovskoye), a village in the Mennonite Brazol settlement in the Russian [[Ekaterinoslav Guberniya (Ukraine)|province of Ekaterinoslav]] (now Dnipropetrovsk, [[Ukraine|Ukraine]]), district of Alexandrovsk, was founded in 1869, contained 3,360 desiatinas (about 9,000 acres), numbered (1911) 80 inhabitants and had a school attended (1911) by 20 children. In Blumenheim there had also been a Mennonite congregation with the same name since 1869, a subsidiary of the Lichtenau church.
