Tri-City Chinese Christian Church was planted in 1991 under the leadership of King Cheung and the sponsorship of the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches Board of Church Extension. The goal was to reach out to the Chinese community in Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam in the Greater Vancouver area.
After King Cheung left, the church was without a pastor for some time. In August 2000, the church called Lam Man-Fung from Hong Kong to be the pastor. Lam survived surgery for liver cancer in 2001 but passed away in March 2002. Ho Kam Tsan (Marcus Ho) began serving as senior pastor in March 2003.
In 2008 Paul Leung was senior pastor and services were held in Cantonese and English. The congregation had a membership of 50 and an average Sunday attendance of 115.
