Menso Alting (9 November 1541-7 October 1612), was a Calvinist divine, educated at Heidelberg. He worked at first in the Palatinate (after 1566) and 1574-1612 as preacher in Emden, where he promoted the spread of Calvinism at the cost of Lutheranism and Anabaptism. Before the religious disputation at Emden in 1578, in which he was the speaker on the Reformed side, he published a book against the Mennonites.
