Agrachan was an intended village in the northeastern part of the Mennonite colony established in 1901 in the Terek region on the Caspian Sea in Russia, south of the Agrachan Peninsula and of the camp of Peter I there in 1722. Planned for 33 landless Mennonite families, it was never settled because the salty character of the soil made it unsuitable for agriculture.
