Clercq Syvert (Stewerdus Clericus) was a Dutch Anabaptist, at first a follower of Melchior Hofmann, later a Münsterite (see Münster). According to the confession of Jan van Batenburg (1537) he was an influential leader, but there is no information concerning his activities. In 1536 he attended the Anabaptist leaders' meeting at Bocholt in Westphalia, Germany.
