Swaene Hermansdochter, an Anabaptist martyr, the widow of Jan Moervinck (Morveldinck?), born near Coevorden, Dutch province of Drente, was drowned on 21 July 1544 at Utrecht, because she "was an adherent of reprobate sects." She apparently belonged to the revolutionary wing of Dutch Anabaptism, one of its last followers and victims.
