Margriet Jan Herkensdochter, an Anabaptist martyr, drowned at Utrecht, Netherlands, on 11 June 1539. Particulars about this martyr were not available except that she was the wife of Steffen van Halteren of Holthuizen in the Bishopric of Münster, Westphalia.
