Hans van Dantzig was a Mennonite deacon at Amsterdam, concerning whose life little is known. Apparently he or his father was from Danzig. The following books, of which he is the author, have been preserved: Een corte bekentenis van den eenighen Godt, vader, sone ende heyligen Gheest (Alkmaar, 1605); Een tafereelken ofte aenwijsinghe van eenighe Schriften der Belofte Gods (Haarlem, 1609); Een vaderlijcke waerschouwinghe, gedaen aen sijne kinderen, daerin dat hij se vertnaent tot een Godtsalich leven, waarachter opgesteld Staat; een corte bekentenisse des gheloofs (Haarlem, 1610); Een vaderlijcke vermaninghe uyt den grooten schadt der heylige schrift (Haarlem, n.d.). All of these treatises were reprinted in Amsterdam in 1714. Hans van Dantzig is the compiler of the Dutch hymn book Pruys Liedtbaek.
