Born 23 September 1889 at [[Elida (Ohio, USA)|Elida]], [[Ohio (USA)|Ohio]], Adah Good graduated from [[Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio, USA)|Bluffton Academy]] in 1918. She married Noah L. Burkhalter on 6 August 1918. She served as a missionary ([[General Conference Mennonite Church (GCM)|General Conference Mennonite]]) and Bible teacher in [[India|India]], 1919-1952. Noah died in India, 1920, two months before the birth of their son Lawrence.
