Gerbrand Koopmans, b. 1779 at Leeuwarden, d. 1836 at Koudum, studied at the Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary 1801-1805 and served the congregations of Zaandam “Oude Huys” 1805-1814, Oostzaandam 1814-1821, and Bolsward 1821-1831 ([[Naamlijst der tegenwoordig in dienst zijnde predikanten der Mennoniten in de Vereenigde Nederlanden|Naamlijst]] 1815, 82-84; 1829, 29, 44).
