Peter Kintzi, born 18 October 1802 at Einsiedel in Galicia, died 15 February 1874, at Kiernica, was a wagoner by trade, became a farmer, and worked himself up from a very modest beginning to the possession of the large Kiernica estate. He was the founder of the Mennonite church at Kiernica by creating a fund to which he contributed 3,000 florins.
