Jan Jansz Schellingwou (Schellinckwou), (not to be confused with the [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] leader [[Jan van Schellingwou (16th century)|Jan van Schellingwou]]), was in the early 17th century a [[Waterlanders|Waterlander]] preacher (congregation unknown) in the Dutch province of [[Friesland (Netherlands)|Friesland]]. In 1610 he and some other Waterlander preachers and elders, e.g., Hans Matthysen ([[Matthijs, Hans (d. after 1618)|Matthijs]]), Dirk Doedes, Ane Anes, and [[Ring, Yeme Jacobsz de (1574-1627)|Yeme de Ringh]], opposed the plan of the Waterlander congregation of Amsterdam to merge with the English ([[Brownists|Brownist]]) church of [[Smyth, John (ca. 1565-1612)|John Smyth]].

Jan Jansz Schellingwou (Schellinckwou), (not to be confused with the Anabaptist leader Jan van Schellingwou), was in the early 17th century a Waterlander preacher (congregation unknown) in the Dutch province of Friesland. In 1610 he and some other Waterlander preachers and elders, e.g., Hans Matthysen (Matthijs), Dirk Doedes, Ane Anes, and Yeme de Ringh, opposed the plan of the Waterlander congregation of Amsterdam to merge with the English (Brownist) church of John Smyth.
