De Zon, a Mennonite meetinghouse at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]], Holland, in 1664-1801 the seat of the [[Zonists|Zonist]] congregation, which, having separated from the [[Lamists|Lamists]] on 22 June 1664, because of the <em>[[Lammerenkrijgh|Lammerenkrijgh]]</em>, held separate meetings, at first worshiping in a warehouse in de Oude Teertuinen. On 15 September 1664, it bought a stately house, a former brewery on the Singel Canal, with the sign of a sun (Dutch zon) on the facade, which it adapted as a meetinghouse, and remodeled in 1683. It acquired a pipe organ in 1786 and was used until April 1801, when the Zonist congregation merged with the Lamists.
