Isaak Molenaar III, a Dutch Mennonite minister, a son of [[Molenaar, Isaak (1813-1891)|Isaak Molenaar II]], was born at [[Irnsum (Friesland, Netherlands)|Irnsum]], Dutch province of [[Friesland (Netherlands)|Friesland]], on 7 December 1848, studied at the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Theological Seminary (Kweekschool)|Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary]] 1868-1873; served as preacher in [[Berlikum (Friesland, Netherlands)|Berlikum ]]1872-1875; in [[Almelo (Overijssel, Netherlands)|Almelo]] 1875-1877; in West Zaandam 1877-1914; retired on 21 June 1914, and died on 12 October 1935. In 1897 he published a study on S. Hoekstra Bzn, entitled <em>Professor Hoekstra</em> (Haarlem, 1897); he also wrote the articles "Hoekstra" and "Opzoomer" in the <em>Realenzyklopaedie für protestantische Theologie und Kirche</em>, third edition. D. Isaak Molenaar III, a Dutch Mennonite minister, a son of Isaak Molenaar II, was born at Irnsum, Dutch province of Friesland, on 7 December 1848, studied at the Amsterdam Mennonite Seminary 1868-1873; served as preacher in Berlikum 1872-1875; in Almelo 1875-1877; in West Zaandam 1877-1914; retired on 21 June 1914, and died on 12 October 1935. After his resignation a collection of his sermons, entitled Preeken (Amsterdam, 1915), was published by the church board of Zaandam. In 1897 he published a study on S.
