Adriaen Vermeer, an Anabaptist martyr executed at Haarlem in the Dutch province of North Holland in 1537. He was preacher (leeraar) of the congregation at Leiden. K. Vos (Doopsgezinde Bijdragen 1917: 150) conjectures that he was one of the seven ministers beheaded at Haarlem on 26 March 1534, and claims that he is identical with Adriaen Lourysz.
