Faith Mennonite Church, Leamington ON
Source: Essex Kent Mennonite Historical Association website

Faith Mennonite Church began services on 26 February 1961 in a local elementary school, and formally organized with 51 charter members in 1961. George Janzen served as the first minister. The congregation originated through division from Leamington United Mennonite Church, which held its services exclusively in the German language. Parents were concerned that their children, whose primary language was English, would not receive enough spiritual nourishment from a German-language worship service. Faith Mennonite was the first English-speaking Mennonite congregation in Essex County.

The congregation began a building project in the summer of 1963 at a cost of $50,000. The building was completed in 1964, with an addition constructed in 1995.

In 2005 the congregation began sharing its facilities with Iglesia la Buena Semilla, a Spanish-speaking congregation.

On 18-19 June 2011 the congregation celebrated its fiftieth anniversary.
