Der Zionspilger (The Pilgrim to Zion), a Swiss Mennonite periodical published by the Emmental Mennonite congregation at [[Langnau im Emmental (Kanton Bern, Switzerland)|Langnau]], canton of [[Bern (Switzerland)|Bern, Switzerland]], since January 1882, as a 4-page 10 x 14 inch monthly to June 1884, bimonthly July 1884-97, weekly since 1897.

The editor was customarily the leading elder or pastor of the Emmenthal congregation: [[Bähler, Samuel (ca. 1851-1890)|Samuel Bähler]] 1882-d.90, [[Kipfer, Johann (1858-1944)|Johann Kipfer]] 1890-1897, 1901-1943, Mathias Pohl 1898-1900, Johannes Rüfenacht 1943- In 1918-1940 the journal had a second editor besides Kipfer to represent the Freie Gemeinde, and in 1918-1921 the name was changed to [[Freie Zeuge (Periodical)|Freie Zeuge vormals Zionspilger]]. The Zionspilger has been a devotional-type journal with news of the Swiss congregations and beginning the mid-20th century brief items of Swiss and world news. Earlier some correspondence from [[Germany|Germany]] and America was printed, and in the time of Bähler and Pohl some Anabaptist and Mennonite historical material. A considerable portion of the readership has been non-Mennonite.
