Aaron Wall: a minister and co-founder of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren (now [[Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches|Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches]]); born 1 January 1834, at Pordenau, [[Molotschna Mennonite Settlement (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Molotschna]] Mennonite Settlement, South Russia. On 30 January 1858, he married Aganetha Dick. They had 5 sons and 4 daughters. They made their home in the village of Hamberg. Aaron died on 6 August 1905.

On 20 February 1871, Wall was elected as a minister and preached his first sermon on I John 4:18. In 1875 they moved with their family to [[North America|North America]] and settled on a farm north of [[Mountain Lake (Minnesota, USA)|Mountain Lake]], Minnesota. In 1876 he was elected as elder of the Bergfelder Church. Stressing regeneration and the new walk in Christ, he with others of like conviction separated from the church and founded the [[Mountain Lake Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church (Mountain Lake, Minnesota, USA)|Bruderthaler Church]] in 1889. He was also instrumental in founding the conference of the Defenseless Mennonite Brethren in Christ of North America, later known as the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren. He had a congenial and pleasing personality. He was an earnest but loving shepherd of his flock. In his work of setting dislocated and broken bones he had many an opportunity to speak with his patients about their salvation.

Shortly before his death Wall conducted the church election in which Henry I. Dick was elected elder, and on July 18 ordained him.
