The Millport Mennonite Church began as a mission outpost in 1953. The first meetings were held in community homes, then moved into the original meeting room on Log Cabin Road for Sunday afternoon services on 15 November 1953. This was a former union brick meetinghouse that was built in 1846. Initial pastoral support came from leaders at [[Carpenter Park Mennonite Church (Davidsville, Pennsylvania, USA)|Carpenter Park]] and [[Landis Valley Christian Fellowship (Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA)|Landis Valley]].

The congregation broke ground for a new sanctuary and educational wing on 6 October 1985.
