<em>Familien-Kalender</em>, an annual Mennonite ([[Mennonite Church (MC)|Mennonite Church]]) almanac, was published 1870-1940, at [[Elkhart (Indiana, USA)|Elkhart]] 1870-1908 by the [[Mennonite Publishing Company (Elkhart, Indiana, USA)|Mennonite Publishing Company]] (1870-1875 by[[John F. Funk & Brother|J. F. Funk and Brother]]), and at [[Scottdale (Pennsylvania, USA)|Scottdale]] 1909-1940 by the [[Mennonite Publishing House (Scottdale, Pennsylvania, USA)|Mennonite Publishing House]]. It paralleled the [[Family Almanac|<em>Family Almanac</em>]], containing the same almanac calculations (prepared by L. J. Heatwole of Dale Enterprise, [[Virginia (USA)|Virginia]], for many years) and a directory of Mennonite ordained men (1909-1940). The literary and historical miscellany was different in the two annuals. [[Horsch, John (1867-1941)|John Horsch]] was the editor 1909-1940. The earlier issues had 36 pages, the later ones 64, always including a small amount of advertising.
