Agua Viva International Community in the Cayo district of Belize was founded in 2010 by Johan Harder and his two eldest sons, Franz and Abram, from the Springfield Colony when they broke away from the old order traditions to found a new “Christ-centered community where members were each free to practice and worship as they wished, to dress and work as they felt right and to mingle with other cultures and people freely.” The community consisted of families with various backgrounds – Mennonite, Mestizo, Mayan, German, French, American and Canadian.
