The Shermot Hutterite Colony[[Hutterian Brethren (Hutterische Brüder)| Hutterite ]]Colony in Sheromet, Ekaterinoslav, South Russia, was founded in 1868 as a division from the [[Hutterthal (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Hutterthal Hutterite Colony]] (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine). In 1874 the colony ceased to exist when the members moved to United States to form the [[Bon Homme Hutterite Colony (Tabor, South Dakota, USA)|Bon Homme Hutterite Colony]] (Tabor, South Dakota, USA).
