The Shalom congregation in Montreal, Quebec, Canada began services in 1982. It was first known as Iglesia Chretienne Hispana de Montreal. In 1995 there were 11 members. The congregation has been affiliated with the [[Mennonite Conference of Ontario and Quebec|Mennonite Conference of Ontario and Quebec]] (1982-88), Mennonite Church, [[Mennonite Church Eastern Canada|Mennonite Conference of Eastern Canada]] (1988-) and [[Conference of Mennonites in Canada|Conference of Mennonites in Canada]] (1995-). The language of worship was Spanish.
