Prenzlau, a town 60 miles north of [[Berlin (Germany)|Berlin]], Germany, was the location of one of the three camps (the other two were Mölln in Lauenburg, and [[Hammerstein (Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland)|Hammerstein]]) provided by the German government for the temporary quartering of Mennonite [[Refugees|refugees]] from [[Russia|Russia]] from November 1929 to the late summer of 1930, while they were waiting to move on to [[Brazil|Brazil]], [[Paraguay|Paraguay]], and [[Canada]].
