Nordheim (Marinovka), a village in the [[Memrik Mennonite Settlement (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine)|Memrik settlement]] in the [[Ekaterinoslav Guberniya (Ukraine)|province of Ekaterinoslav]], [[Russia|Russia]] (now Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine), was settled in 1885 by 32 [[Landless (Landlose)|landless]] and poor Mennonites from the [[Molotschna Mennonite Settlement (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Molotschna]] and [[Chortitza Mennonite Settlement (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Chortitza]] settlements. At first the inhabitants had hardly enough to shelter them from the cold and rain, but in a few years they became prosperous through industrious cultivation of a basically good soil. In 1887 the village built a school. In 1912 it had a population of 203.
