Leonhard Meister (Meyster) was an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] (?) martyr executed with [[Koch, Hans (d. 1524)|Hans Koch]] at [[Augsburg (Freistaat Bayern, Germany)|Augsburg]], [[Bayern Federal State (Germany)|Bavaria]], [[Germany|Germany]], in 1524 for his faith (according to Mehrning probably a Waldensian). He was the author of the oldest song in the [[Ausbund|<em>Ausbund</em>]], "Ach Gott Vater im hochsten Thron."
