Lysbeth Bonwes and Lysbeth Diricxdochter participated in the revolt at the [[Oldeklooster (Friesland, Netherlands)|Oldeklooster]] in the Dutch province of [[Friesland (Netherlands)|Friesland]]; they were arrested and brought to [[Leeuwarden (Friesland, Netherlands)|Leeuwarden]] on 7 April 1535, where on 14 April 1535, they were sentenced to death by drowning.
