Leamington Evangelical Mennonite Church began services in 1990 and formally organized in 1992. Peter Reimer is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation emerged from outreach to Kleine Gemeinde Mennonites who returned from [[Mexico|Mexico]] and Central America to [[Canada|Canada]].

The congregation first met at [[United Mennonite Educational Institute (Leamington, Ontario, Canada)|United Mennonite Educational Institute]].

The language of worship is English. The pastor in 2018 was Jacob Enns.
