Hermann Lüdemann, a German Protestant theologian, professor of theology at the University of [[Bern (Switzerland)|Bern]], [[Switzerland|Switzerland]], in 1884, retired in 1928, was author of the book, <em>Reformation und Täufertum in ihrem Verhältnis zum christlichen Prinzip </em>(Bern, 1896), in which he expressed a surprisingly unfriendly attitude to the Mennonites, and particularly to the views of [[Keller, Ludwig (1849-1915)|Ludwig Keller]].<em>            </em>
