Adriaan Kempe was born about 1710 at [[Norden (Ostfriesland, Germany)|Norden]], died 1779 at Medemblik, was baptized at Norden, [[Germany|Germany]], on 13 February 1729. From 1731-1779 he was preacher of the United Frisian and [[Waterlanders|Waterlander]] congregation at Medemblik, Dutch province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]]. In 1739 he was married to Cornelia Metschaart (Messchaert) of Hoorn. He published <em>Jesus Christus de Paerl en Pronk van 't Geslachte der Menschen </em>and seven other sermons ([[Medemblik (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Medemblik]], 1740).
