In the early 1970s, a Spanish-speaking group sponsored by the [[LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches|Lancaster Mennonite Conference]] began meeting on Sunday afternoons at [[Église de Dieu Assemblee de la Grace (Immokalee, Florida, USA)|People's Chapel]] in Immokalee, [[Florida (USA)|Florida]]. It called itself La Iglesia Puerto de la Hermosa (Church of the Beautiful Gate). Isadoro Saez served as the founding pastor. The congregation later moved to its own small building on North Third Street.

The congregation was no longer listed in the 1992 ''[[Mennonite Yearbook and Directory|Mennonite Yearbook]]."
