View source for Dohn, Hans (d. 1584)

Hans Dohn was an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr who was burned at the stake under Elector August of [[Saxony|Saxony]]. In the records of his trial is found the version of the Lord's Prayer peculiar to the Thuringian Anabaptists, "Give us the eternal heavenly Bread." This version is attested in other records also.
