The Ocean City Mennonite Church began in 1983 in the summer resort town of Ocean City, [[Maryland (USA)|Maryland]], USA. It started as a church plant of the [[Atlantic Coast Conference of Mennonite Church USA|Atlantic Coast Conference]], but also had some early funding from the [[Allegheny Mennonite Conference (Mennonite Church USA)|Allegheny Mennonite Conference]] which had a [[Voluntary Service]] unit in the area. Chuck and Joyce Hostetter provided the early vision for the work.

The Hostetters held the first service on 27 November 1983 in their home. In March 1984 they leased a garage building several miles from town that the congregation extensively renovated. The congregation formally organized on 9 November 1986 with 20 members. The church then erected a new building on the site that was dedicated on 25 October 1987.

Sometime in 2008 or 2009, the congregation changed its name to CrossWay Church.

In 2021 the congregation was part of the [[Atlantic Coast Conference of Mennonite Church USA]]. The minister was Dan Kemper.
