Johannes Corbachius, a Jesuit, was the author of the book, <em>Contra Anabaptistas unici baptismatis assertio</em> (Cologne, 1535), written entirely in the traditional line of historiography, with no understanding of the nature and significance of the [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] movement.
