Christine Brünnerin was a [[Hutterian Brethren (Hutterische Brüder)|Hutterite]] martyr, who was executed in 1618 together with Jost Wilhelm, in Bregenz, [[Austria|Austria]]. The song, "Von Gott und seines Geistes Stärk, wie er im Glauben führt sein Werk," was written on their martyrdom (Wolkan, <em>Lieder</em>). Christine Brünnerin had not yet been baptized, but was in the act of emigrating to join the Hutterian Brethren in [[Moravia (Czech Republic)|Moravia]] when she was arrested.
