View source for Beningha, Eggerick (1490-1562)

Eggerick Beningha was the descendant of a noble family of Grimersum in [[East Friesland (Niedersachsen, Germany)|East Friesland]], statesman and historian, counselor of [[Anna von Oldenburg-Delmenhorst, Countess of East Friesland (1501-1575)|Countess Anna]], and the author of the <em>Ostfriesische Chronik</em> (1723), an excellent source for the East Frisian [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] movement in the 16th century, which P. Müller used extensively in his <em>Geschichte der Mennoniten in Ostfriesland</em>.
