View source for Beck, Hans (d. 1532)

Hans Beck (Beckh), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was executed with the sword in 1532 at Sterzing on the Eisack in [[Tyrol (Austria)|Tyrol]] with five fellow believers ([[Gruber, Lamprecht (d. 1532)|Lambrecht Gruber]], [[Hungerl, Peter (d. 1532)|Peter Hungerl]],[[Planer, Peter (d. 1532)| Peter Planer]],  [[Schuester, Lorenz (d. 1532)|Lorenz Schuster]], and [[Taler, Hans (d. 1532)|Hans Thaler]]) because they remained true to their faith. From prison they wrote letters to the churches in [[Moravia (Czech Republic)|Moravia]], which have been preserved.
