Allebach (Allenbach, Allebaugh), a Swiss Mennonite family strongly represented in the [[Franconia Mennonite Conference (Mennonite Church USA)]] of [[Pennsylvania (USA)|Pennsylvania]]. The ancestor of this family is said to have been Christian Allebach, one of the members of the [[Salford Mennonite Church (Salford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA)|Salford congregation]] in 1739. One of his descendants was Deacon David G. Allebach (1802-1888) of the [[Towamencin Mennonite Church (Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, USA)|Towamencin]] congregation. Another was the nonagenarian, John Allebach (1805-1902), preacher of the [[Rockhill Mennonite Church (Telford, Pennsylvania, USA) |Rockhill congregation]], who in turn was the father of Christian B. Allebach (1841-1917), preacher of the Towamencin congregation. Another descendant was Deacon Joseph B. Allebach (1844-1923) of the Rockhill congregation. Christian B. Allebach was the father of Alpheus K. Allebach, for a time the superintendent of [[Souderton Mennonite Home (Souderton, Pennsylvania, USA)|Eastern Mennonite Home]] for the Aged at Souderton, Pennsylvania. Another member of the Allebach family was David K. Allebach, local historian of Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Toward the close of the 19th century one of the teachers in the [[Darlington Mennonite Mission (Darlington, Oklahoma, USA)|Mennonite mission school]] among the [[Arapaho Mennonite Mission|Arapaho Indians]] at Darlington, [[Oklahoma (USA)|Oklahoma]] was [[Allebach, Harvey G. (1869-1921)|Harvey G. Allebach]].

Among the early settlers in eastern [[Pennsylvania (USA)|Pennsylvania]] were also John and Andrew Allebach who came to America in 1734, both without known descendants.
