Gustav Koffmane (1852-1915), a Lutheran theologian, educated at the University of [[Breslau (Silesia)|Breslau, Germany]], became pastor in Kunitz, received the doctorate in 1902 and was appointed as Church Superintendent in Krischnitz, where he died. He is the author of the valuable work on the [[Anabaptism|Anabaptists]] in Silesia,<em> </em>"Die Wiedertäufer in Schlesien," which was published in the <em>Correspondenzblatt des Vereins für Geschichte der evangelischen Kirche Schlesiens </em>III (1887): 37-55.
