Mariken Vrancken (Vrencken), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, who was drowned at Stockheim "int Lant van Ludich" ([[Liège (Liège, Belgium)|Liege]] in [[Belgium|Belgium]]?) together with her husband [[Thysken (d. ca. 1547)|Thysken]]. The year of their execution is unknown, but it must have happened before 1547, in which year [[Metken (d. 1547)|Metken]], Mariken's sister-in-law, gave the information concerning Thysken's and Mariken's death during her trial in August 1547 at Valkenburg, Dutch province of [[Limburg (Netherlands)|Limburg]]. Particulars about Mariken Vrancken and Thysken are unknown.
