View source for Hendriksz, Pieter (17th century)

Pieter Hendriksz, a Mennonite, member of the [[Lamist Mennonite Church (Amsterdam, Netherlands)|Amsterdam Lamist congregation]], was influenced by the [[Society of Friends|Quakers]] in his view on the church and attacked [[Galenus Abrahamsz de Haan (1622-1706)|Galenus Abrahamsz]], the leader of the Lamist church, in a booklet <em>Een Ernstige bestraffinge aen de Vlaemsche Doopsgesinde Gemeynte tot Amsterdam</em> (Amsterdam, 1670), accusing him of laying too much stress upon form, especially in maintaining the old customs of baptism and communion.
