Johann Entz was chosen preacher of the [[Hutterian Brethren (Hutterische Brüder)|Hutterian Brethren]] 24 July 1892 and confirmed by Elder Peter Hofer on 30 May 1897. A 1916 list of Hutterite preachers names him as the leader of the Old Elmspring colony in [[South Dakota (USA)|South Dakota]].
