Elisabeth Bachmann, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was seized in [[Zürich (Switzerland)|Zürich]] in 1643 with two fellow believers, [[Bethezai, Elisabeth (d. 1643?)|Elssa Bethezai]] and [[Wanty, Sara (d. ca. 1643)|Sara Wanry]]. They remained steadfast in their faith and ended their lives in prison after enduring much want, misery, and wretchedness.
