Johann Jakob Hottinger was a Swiss church historian, the son of [[Hottinger, Johann Heinrich (1620-1667)|Johann Heinrich Hottinger]]. He continued Johann von Müller's <em>Geschichte der Eidgenossen</em> and is the author of the book, <em>Compendium historiae anabaptisticae</em>, which does not claim special importance.
