Thysken and his wife [[Mariken Vrancken (d. before 1547)|Mariken Vrencken]] died as [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyrs. They were drowned at Stockheim "int Lant van Ludich" ([[Liège (Liège, Belgium)|Liege]] in [[Belgium|Belgium]]?). The year of their execution is unknown; it happened before 1547 according to information given by the martyr [[Metken (d. 1547)|Metken]], who was their sister-in-law.
