Joseph Kleinsasser was chosen as a preacher 12 March 1901 by the Milltown Hutterite [[Bruderhof|Bruderhof]] in [[South Dakota (USA)|South Dakota]], USA and confirmed 2 December 1902. He was a school teacher more than 17 years. On 11 February 1934 he was chosen as an elder of the "[[Schmiedeleut|Schmiedeleut]]." He died 16 April 1947 at the Milltown Colony, Bernard, [[Manitoba (Canada)|Manitoba]], Canada.
